Generate exam in a book

If you have a Premium or Plus licence that lets you edit the content of a book, you will be able to create exams provided that the book includes digital activities.

Go to the Classes section of your teacher profile and check that you have a class created with your students with this premium content assigned to all users.

Then, in the top bar, click on the button labelled Create exam

Choose a Title and select the book lessons where the activities to be included in the exam are located and click NEXT

Here you have two possible options:

1. Generate an exam with random activities included in the selected lessons. All you have to do is specify the number of activities to be included and then click on the arrows icon.
   
2. Select the activities individually by scrolling through the lessons and marking which ones you want to include. Use the browser to find them faster and click NEXT 
   

Finally, a summary will be displayed. Review the exam and click BACK to modify your selection by adding or removing activities, or click GENERATEto finish the process.

Once completed, a new unit called Exams will be displayed where all the exams generated for this book will be stored.

Edit properties

To do so, enable the Edit option in the top bar and click on the pencil icon next to Edit Activity Properties

Here you can add a time limit to the exam and set it to Only visible to the teacher if you want to keep it hidden from your students.

You can easily identify which one is hidden because the activity will be marked with a (T)

Send to your students

Once you have finished working on the exam, open the black lock to share it with your students by clicking on the icon. Then click on the arrow to share the activity.

Finally, specify a Deadline, Hour and the classroom group(s) or students to whom you want to send the exam and click on SEND

You can also send the exam from the class HOMEWORK tab by creating a LINK TO ACTIVITY and selecting the exam activity.
