      Using the exam generator

BlinkLearning offers the possibility of Generating exams for teachers who are either Premium users or have a plus licence on the platform.

With this tool, teachers can create exams or tests by selecting Blink activities contained in a digital book.

To start creating your exams you only need to have, in your Content tab, digital books that contain this type of activities. Once you confirm that is the case, follow these simple steps:

STEP 1: Select the digital book you want to use to generate the exam.

STEP 2: From the book's index, click on the New exam icon located in the top toolbar.

STEP 3: Enter a title and select the lesson(s) which contain this type of Blink activities in order to include into it and click on Next.

STEP 4: Next, a list of the activities contained in the previously selected lessons will be displayed. Check the ones you want to include in the exam.

If you prefer you can enter the number of questions in the field shown below to include activities chosen at random.

If the number entered is greater than the number of activities that the lessons contain, an error message will appear so that you can modify the number.

STEP 5: Click on Next and review your exam. You can go back and apply changes. Finnaly, click on Generate.

STEP 6: A new lesson titled Exams will be created in the book's index where all your created exams will be saved.

You can also edit the exam properties by clicking on the red pencil icon that appears next to the exam's title.

Here you can add a time limit to the exam. Click on OK for the changes to be saved.

STEP 7: Once you have finished, make sure to open the padlock so the exam will become available to your students.
